I have danced in the rain

I have experienced unbearable pain,

I have watched the stunning sun rise

I have cried tears from my eyes,

I have looked up at the stars

I have gained invisible scars,

I have searched for patterns in the clouds

I have sometimes failed to speak aloud,

I have walked barefooted along the beach

I have acknowledged that sometimes things are out of reach,

I have made mistakes

I have learnt that sometimes our hearts will break,

I have realised that we are all beautifully unique

I have learnt to listen before I speak,

I have made errors of judgement

I have made misjudgements, 

I have failed

I have on a number of occasions failed,

I have laughed in the face of adversity,

I have ridden waves of uncertainty, 

I have realised that life is love and listening

I have seen this help to keep our souls glistening, 

I have watched the beauty of kindness

I have realised that I can be who I want to be 

Because
